Wood

On saturday we finally started laying our wood floors, and I'm just so excited! After doing most of the hard beginning parts on saturday, I was able to continue today by myself. It looks pretty good so far, and I'll keep you posted on my progress

Tonight was a very clear and calm (wind free) night. Joe had the great idea to do Family home evening outside with a great big bonfire. We had a lot of wood that we tore out of the house that needed to be burnt, so Joe made a big fire. The kids had lots of fun throwing wood onto the fire, and course we roasted some marshmellows too. We also had some sparklers left over from New Years that Richard Worth brought over for us. The kids loved those, even Ginger, until she touched the hot part. I was just so immensily happy sitting there with my sweet husband and great kids. We are so blessed with our home, health, job, and family!

Looks like so much fun! Sparklers are actually illegal in NY if you can believe it.

And about your NY trip, any time in Feb works great for us, we may take a trip to the beach in early march and don't have the dates for that yet...but mid to late March should work too.

I forgot all about those sparklers. I'm glad you guys enjoyed them. Richard was so funny with those fireworks. I know we didn't take any real pictures, but a picture of those boys on the dock on New Year's Eve will live on in my head forever.
