Blurb disaster

So I didn't only just accidentally delete my blurb book that I've been working on for hours.. Now I can't even slurp my blog entries, because the program keeps shutting down, and for some reason blogger is not one of the supported blogs right now!! I want to rip my hair out!!!!!!!!

ARGH! Did I ever tell you that I gave up on mine? After spending HOURS doing an entire years worth of blog posts I test-printed it in B&W and hated it. Everything was so much smaller than I thought it was going to be. So don't even get me started on my frustrations there! If you ever get yours back or start over, I highly recommend test printing the first few pages before you continue on with all the work.

What size book did you make? Maybe you can try to turn it into a 13x11 (assuming you made a smaller one). What font size did you do, and was that too small too?

Thanks to Nancy, I'm doing the bigger book. I've printed off some pages and I think it looks great. It's going to be like 350 pages long, so I'm sure it will cost a fortune, but printing and scrapbooking a year's photos is pricey too.

I'm using Gisha 11 pt font. I'm frustrated that there's no way (that I can find) to do a global change to the text throughout the book, so I'm changing the font and size manually for each blog post, which is time consuming.

Also, I wanted to merge posts from my blog and all the kids' into one master book. Blurb slurped from all the blogs, but didn't interfile them chronologically. (So there was everything from blog 1, then everything from blog 2, etc.) So I had to manually move each post from the kids' blogs into the right spot chronologically, which was a big hassle, so I guess I need to come up with a different strategy. Maybe I just will blurb their blogs into separate books and not try to combine it all?

So sorry yours got deleted!!! Bummer!!

I read somewhere that you can still use blurb with blogger. You just have to use the text and pictures option.--Julie
