I love you snow!

Snow makes me happy. I'm not sure where this love came from, but it would be fine with me if it snowed every day from December through February. There are just so many fun things to do in the snow!

We turned a large box into a snow fort.
The kids built snowmen in the front lawn, which stood there for over a month.
Soldier Hollow sledding hill is only 10 minutes from our house.
Any honest person would have to admit that it's super duper fun to clear the driveway with a snowblower. Talk about instant gratification. The snow shoots in a beautiful arc onto the lawn, and the driveway is cleared. It's especially fun to see the results in places of thick snow. Like by the mail box. There's practically a wall of snow with a straight vertical edge where the snow blower picked everything up.
We live within 30 minutes of 4 ski resorts. We don't go to the resort often, but the option is there.
On top of all the fun stuff to do, it's just beautiful to look at. And unless it's a blizzard, the roads are maintained very well, so it doesn't negatively impact me at all. After several snow storms we haven't even had 1 snow day from school.
Besides the snow, the cold is fun too. Sterling went ice fishing with his friend Hyrum. Winter had her ice skating birthday party.

Our friends the Calderwoods have a family cabin that we got invited to. We enjoyed snowmobiling, sledding, and just general playing in the snow and mountains.

Ultimate sledding: no hiking needed. Lisa would drag everyone and the sleds back to the top of the hill each time
Since Miles isn't walking yet, and he was pretty sick, he didn't have very much fun in the snow
It's so nice having good friends!

It never ends

Each month that I write a rent check, I think "this is the last time I have to write one". And then another month rolls around, and we still haven't bought the house. Things are taking so long, that the appraisal is outdated, so the bank needs to re-do that. Of course it seems like the house values are going up, so I'm stressing out that the appraisal comes back so high that we won't be able to afford the house anymore. Then there's the interest rate. It's at an all time love of 3.5%, but that can't stay like that forever either. Some days I'm a stress mess, and others I just put it out of my mind and try to let it go. It's not like we can do anything about the situation. There are NO other appropriate houses for sale in our price range here in Midway anyways.
